Ben’s a star – times three!

Ben Henderson – Division 1 Best and Fairest
A player of immense strength, Ben’s ability saw him ear-marked as a possible NRL star being part of the Cronulla Sharks Under 18 program where he played in 2014, and then the Under 20s in 2015.
Ben was recruited to the all-conquering Melbourne Storm where he played in 2016 in their Under 20s side before succumbing to a shoulder injury midway through the season.
A shoulder reconstruction in the off season did nothing to dampen his enthusiasm and when given the opportunity to play back at his beloved Noosa Pirates (a member of the Sunshine Coast Development Squad), he did so with open arms.
His maturity for someone so young in years, Ben plays like a seasoned veteran.
Respected by all and sundry at the Noosa Pirates, not only was Ben the Division 1 Best and Fairest , he was also co-captain of the Premiership-winning 2017 Noosa Pirates.

Ben Hayes – Division 2 Best and Fairest
Ben is one of those guys that you just love having around the football club.
Some would say that he is a bit of a rough diamond, yet a more loyal person to his team-mates and club you would struggle to find.
Astute people around the club often heap praise on the player, who although has not been at the club for an overly long time, seems like he has been here all his playing career.
Ben’s main attributes are his speed and the ability to find the try line whenever he wants to.
Not a rookie by any stretch of the imagination, every year is going to be his last – if you believe what he tells you!
However, with two stellar seasons behind him with awards such as Best Back in 2016 to go along with his Best and Fairest award for this season, you would like to think that Ben will continue to play into the future.

Ben Butler – Under 18’s Best and Fairest
Ben is a home-grown product of the Noosa Pirates, beginning his journey at the tender age of seven years old.
He has played all his junior football with the Noosa Pirates, culminating in his first season of Under 18 football in 2017.
Still eligible for another season at the Under 18 level, Ben’s love for the game and his commitment to training sees this young man with a very bright future.
It would not surprise anyone involved with the club to see this young man make his debut in senior level in the not too distant future.
A quiet individual who lets his playing do the talking, he is well liked and respected by his team-mates.
His goal-kicking is just an added bonus to his vast array of skills.
