Rider air-lifted after crash

POLICE are investigating a serious traffic crash in Tewantin yesterday afternoon in which a 35-year-old man sustained serious injuries.
Initial information suggests that about 4.30pm the 35-year-old man was travelling west along Hilton Esplanade on a motorcycle when he collided with a four-wheel drive travelling in the opposite direction.
The rider of the motorcycle received serious head injuries and was transported to Noosa Hospital before being air-lifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have any information in relation to it to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
