Woman missing for a week

In brief

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 68-year-old woman reported missing from Sunshine Beach.
Christine Hunter has not been seen since 17 June and may be driving a white CT200H Lexus bearing Queensland registration plates ‘TARDUS’.
Police and family hold concerns for the welfare of Ms Hunter, as she suffers from a medical condition that requires medication.
It is also extremely out of character for her to go away without advising friends or family.
She is described as Caucasian, 167cm tall, of solid build with blonde hair.
Anyone who can assist is urged to contact Noosa Heads police station on 5440 8111, their local police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
11 charged after crackdown
A LOCAL police operation has resulted in 11 people being charged with 32 offences ranging from drug possession to receiving stolen property.
Acting Officer in Charge for Noosa Heads police Senior Sergeant Peter Feldman said the local operation took place from 14 to 19 June, with a number of people arrested on outstanding warrants.
Among the people charged was a 19-year-old Sunshine Beach man who was charged with break and enter, receiving stolen property, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.
A 21-year-old Sunshine Beach man was also arrested for breaking and entering, receiving stolen property and for possessing a restricted weapon.
A 19-year-old Sunshine Beach man will face court charged with break and enter plus one count of receiving stolen property, while a 17-year-old Sunrise Beach man will answer one charge of break and enter, one charge of possessing a drug utensil and one charge of failing to dispose of a syringe.
Four people were arrested for not following a police requirement, including a 34-year-old Cooroibah man, a 17-year-old Noosa Heads man, a 45-year-old Sunrise Beach man and a 35-year-old Noosaville woman.
Three other people were arrested for stealing from a shop and included a 42-year-old man with no fixed address, a 19-year-old Cooroibah man, and a 29-year-old Tewantin man.
