POLICE are investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred in Eumundi on Wednesday.
Initial investigations indicate that about 5.30pm a sedan and a hatchback were travelling north along Eumundi Noosa Road when the sedan either stopped or slowed down to turn right into Don Napier Road.
The hatchback collided with the rear of the sedan pushing it into the path of a station wagon which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The female driver, a 49-year-old woman from Eumundi, was thrown from the sedan in the collision.
Paramedics and an off duty doctor were unable to revive the woman and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
