Noosa Beach Classic Car Club is hosting its 29th annual car show on Sunday.
Held at the waterfront Lions Park beside Hastings Street, about 300 rare and valuable classic cars will be on display.
Exotics like Ferraris, Porsches and Aston Martins are expected in the line-up, while there will be an abundance of American and Australian muscle cars, European sports cars, Japanese classics, custom specials, hot rods, race cars and 100-year-old vintage beauties.
Holden is the 2017 Marque of the Year, honouring this iconic Australian brand in the year it ceases local manufacturing. Expect to see a vast array of Holdens from across the decades, including an incredibly original 1952 Holden FJ owned by Noosa’s Madill’s Holden.
The local Bowden’s Own Collection will display Peter Brock’s 1979 HDT A9X Torana, which dominated Bathurst that year. The famous 05 racer scored pole position, led all 163 laps, set a new lap record and won by six full laps.
Last year the show helped raise around $10,000 for local charities.
Gates will be open 8am-2.30pm.
