Athletes give it a tri

Athletes and fans will flock to Noosa next week to be part of the largest triathlon event in the world, the Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival to be held from 1-5 November.
The popularity of the event is evident by the sell-out of the Noosa Tri’s 35th anniversary individual entries within 48 hours.
The event kicks off with a swim starting off beautiful and calm Noosa Main Beach, a ride that takes in the scenery of the Hinterland and a run that soaks up all that Noosa has to offer.
The festival is a five-day event, celebrating sports, healthy lifestyles, fitness and fun. With an irresistible mix of sport and entertainment coupled with sun, sea and surf in one of Australia’s most popular destinations, Noosa, the event consists of various family, social and sporting activities for everyone to be a part of. The hero event of the festival on Sunday 5 November is the Noosa Triathlon, hosting more than 8500 competitors, making it the world’s largest standard distance triathlon.
