IT HAS been a year of impressive feats, and one such was Kristy McGrath, who rode over 1700 kilometres through headwinds, steep hills and rain, to raise money for her sick niece.
Ellie Topliff, 18 months, who suffers with the extremely rare Tay-Sachs disease, greeted her Aunty at Tewantin Noosa RSL park earlier this year, after she set off from Victoria.
Kristy, who only began riding in February, raised over $23,000 for Ellie and her family with the help of the Tewantin Noosa RSL who held a special charity auction for the family.
