NOOSA will shine bright when it plays host to the annual Noosa Rainbow River Festival which is set to dazzle more than the Noosa River.
The post-Mardi Gras event is an all-inclusive party which celebrates diversity against the picturesque Noosa backdrop.
The weekend festival launches on Saturday 19 March and welcomes people from far and wide to join in the fabulous festivities.
The fun kicks off with cheeky cocktails at the Noosa Yacht Club at 5pm on Saturday 19 March where patrons can watch the sun set over the stunning Noosa River.
The party then moves onto the Villa Noosa where Noosa’s favourite drag queen Melony Brests will be dropping her balls in her famous Drag Bingo Show.
Party-goers are invited to recover after a night of fun at a brunch picnic alongside the gorgeous Noosa River before it’s all-aboard for the main event The River Parade.
Hire a boat, bring your own water craft or join the official Rainbow Party boat for a two-hour fun-filled adventure up and down the scenic Noosa River and canals.
Each year the weekend has a theme and this year its “Fabulous Inflatables” with organisers urging participants to be “flirty, daring and fabulous”.
The weekend bonanza ends with farewell drinks at a stylish bar on Gympie Terrace when friend, old and new, will part ways.
