FRIDAY FORUM
Tomorrow, Friday, Gill Brownhill OAM will discuss the formation and development, 16 years ago, of Eumundi Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Gill’s passion for saving injured and orphaned wildlife was ignited when she was horrified to learn that native animals and birds were being euthanized because of lack of carers and facilities. With husband Colin, Gill privately funded the installation of infrastructure of both large and small animal plus the considerable cost of specialised food. Gill still works up to 18 hours a day with her roster of volunteer carers. Gill’s reward is the 60 or so per cent of “patients” which are rehabilitated for successful return to the wild. Forum starts at 10.30am at NPA Environment Centre, Wallace Drive, Noosaville.
