Eumundi Dragons ready to roar

The smell of liniment is in the air again and the temperature will soon start to drop. That all means the footy season is about to start and a lot of our young locals are getting excited.

Eumundi Dragons are set to kick off the 2014 Sunshine Coast Junior Rugby Union season with a roar. Training has been in full swing for weeks and everyone has got a taste for Saturday morning rugby again. Last Thursday club members were presented with their 2014 team shirts by Daniel Nethery from Sunshine Coast Junior Rugby Union. Daniel shared some words with the youngsters about always enjoying their rugby and having pride in their team colours. Eumundi Dragons are fortunate this year to again have the Cooroy Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank as their major sponsor.  Manager, Geoff Edwards was on hand to show his support for the 2014 junior teams.  The bank remains committed to supporting locals sporting clubs, schools and organisations and their support for the Eumundi Dragons is testament to that. The Dragons are still signing on members.  Interested players and their families are welcome to come down to the ground this Saturday from 8am to witness the junior rugby union teams in action first-hand. Just head to the Eumundi Showgrounds on Black Stump Road, Eumundi, see www.eumundidragons.rugbynet.com.au or phone 0448 191 218.
