Win, win, win for little Dolphins

JOE JURISEVIC
The second of the development rounds took place on the weekend, and Noosa players are back in the swing of things with some great rugby being played.

U6 Reds 35 draw Eumundi Dragons 35: The Reds’ second match of the season was played in great spirit with Jax Davies and Conor Thomas both pulling on the Eumundi jersey to help out an undermanned team. Charlie Harmer and Manu Lewis both shone running in some ripper tries, Jaxon P and Noah G were immense on defence and Harry Robson dazzled the opposition with his fast footwork. Domino’s Pizza Player of the Match was Jax Davies. U9 Noosa Reds 55 def Matthew Flinders 5: An outstanding display saw the Reds run in 11 tries in a slick demonstration of classy rugby. Setting the platform for the dominant win were Jack, Tom, Joel, Reggie, Leif, Josh, Kian, Riley and Flynn with some sterling defence. Tremendous running from Fletcher, Mack and Harry off the back of that defence paved the way to a win. Try scorers were Leif 4, Josh and Fletcher 2 and one each to Harry, Tom, and Jack.
U9 Noosa Fins 35 def SCGS 10: Everything we practiced last Friday showed on the field. Great to watch these boys improving. Try scorers were Jackson and Fynn with 2 and one each to Hunter, Andrew and Leith.
U10 Noosa Reds 20 def Flinders Rugby 12: Noosa’s U10 Reds were on form with an exciting win over a very disciplined Finders rugby side.  The team provided a solid defence and scored four four fantastic tries – 3 from Sabyr Kime and 1 from Max Ruster.
U10 Noosa Fins 24 def Eumundi Dragons 10: Eumundi made the most of their early possession by scoring the first try of the game.  It proved to be a welcome wake-up call for the Fins who duly replied with four straight tries of their own, including one 70 yard sprint down the left wing by Oliver Holmes who left half of the chasing Dragons in his wake on the way to the try line.  Jarrah Charlesworth made an impressive all-round debut including two conversions and capping off a solid team display by the Fins. Try scorers Lockie Dudgeon 3, Oliver Holmes 1.
U10 Noosa Fins 22 def SCGS 0: The Fins made it three wins out of three so far this season by scoring 4 tries to nil against Grammar in a game epitomized by both individual skills and solid team support. Lockie Dudgeon claimed his second hat-trick of tries. Try scorers Lockie Dudgeon 3, Roko Knott 1, conversions Jarrah Charlesworth 1. Domino’s Pizza Player of the Match was Lockie Dudgeon
