Flagship history revealed

By HOLLIE HARRIS

AUSTRALIAN media commentator and author Mike Carlton will share a story of Australia’s history later this month hosted by Mary Ryan’s Noosa.
Noosa Boathouse will set the picturesque scene for his latest book exploring our fascinating naval and social history. In Flagship: The Cruiser HMAS Australia II, Mike wows readers with his inimitable panache and flawless research.
From 1928-1942 the battle cruiser Australia II carved a unique place in Australian naval and war history and Mike’s retelling of murder, battles, and kamikaze aircraft will have you turning the page.
Join Mike at the Noosa Boathouse, Noosaville, on Sunday 31 July from noon. Tickets are $49 and include a three-course lunch and glass of wine.
Bookings are essential, please phone 5455 4848 to reserve a seat.
