THE Tewantin Community Kindergarten will celebrate its 50th birthday on Saturday and Member for Noosa Glen Elmes was on hand for an early celebration on Tuesday (25 August).
Mr Elmes cut the cake before presenting the kindergarten with a $250 cheque to help with planned celebrations on Saturday 29 August.
The Tewantin Community Kindergarten has seen about 3000 students pass through its doors since it first opened in 1965, with many former students now sending their children there.
The 50th birthday celebrations will be held at the kindergarten – 1 Doonella Street, Tewantin, on Saturday 29 August from 10am to 1pm.
