THE Noosa Heads Surf Club public toilets have reopened with a fresh new fit-out in time for the September school holidays.
The five-week renovation – a joint partnership of council and the Hastings Street Association – has delivered new cubicles, two new ambulant toilets, new drainage system and brighter colour scheme.
Work crews renewed wall and floor tiles, partitions, waterproofing and electrics during the five-week revamp.
Noosa Council facility officer Ian Pearce said the principal contractor and the subcontractors worked extremely hard on the project to ensure the work was completed on time ready for the September holidays.
“Hopefully, the amenities will stay bright, clean and be of benefit to the community for many years to come,” he said.
Mr Pearce thanked the Hastings Street Association for its support of the project.
“Council also appreciates beachgoers’ patience while the toilets were closed to allow for work to take place,” he said.
