Family’s river of gratitude

By JONATHON HOWARD

NOOSA resident Petra Geitl has expressed her deepest gratitude towards the many Noosa businesses that helped make a fundraising event a huge success to help Jack Geitl.
Members of the family are now closer than ever to achieving their goal of purchasing an accessibility vehicle for Jack, who was born with cerebral palsy.
Petra said the Noosa River and Canal Cruise on Thursday 20 November was sold out and helped raised more than $7400 – which includes a $5000 donation from Frangipani Dreams.
“I would really like to thank Noosa River and Canal Cruises for helping with our fundraising – it’s been overwhelming and we’re so grateful,” she said.
The family are now closer to their goal of $35,000, with a big announcement still to come from the Tewantin Noosa Lions Club in conjunction with the Tewantin Noosa RSL and Noosa Surf Life Savings Club.
Check next week’s Noosa Today for the big announcement.
