Sing the Camino

Sing the Camino in Peregian.

When Jessie Vintila and Emma Royle created Sing the Camino, an idea borne in 2014 from their love of music, walking, travelling, food and wine, they did not expect to find so many like-minded travellers keen to embark on the journey with them. The pair have now taken seven groups to sing and walk through Northern Spain, along the ancient pilgrim track, singing by night, sometimes with local musicians from beautiful, diverse Spanish folk music traditions. Also a gifted choir director and arranger, Jessie runs the 100 strong Raise the Roof Choir in Northern NSW and travels throughout Australia and New Zealand sharing her love of vocal harmony in her singing workshops, with songs from Spain and bluegrass to gospel and folk songs. In her first Sunshine Coast workshop, Jessie invites ‘all humans with all voices’ to join her at the Peregian Beach Community House on Sunday 11 March from 10am-1pm.
