Cooroy Community Bowls Club
Wednesday Business Bowlers are such fun loving groups and have two weeks left of the season due to rain effected nights during the season.

Getting Plastered 2, Bonnells 11 d Renderers 6, Craft 13 d Newbies 7,Treble Clefs 13 d Thunderbirds 6, Bandios 14 d Mutineers 9, Odd Balls 8 d Ball Breakers 2.
On Thursday 28 May games will be starting at 4pm-6pm and will call the league TwilightTriples.
Six players are wanted, please call if interested in playing.

Pair Championships – 1st Round
Mens
Bill Haack and Brian Cunnington lost to Russel Butler and Bevan Mahoney 28-14.
Kennedy McGrath and Geoff Green lost to Doug Alisone and Jim Donald 21-14.
Ben French and Eric Kensler defeated John McKechnie and Des Horrox 37-4.
The last pair fought their game out until the very last end winning by 1 point.
David Hateley-James and Jack Kirkman defeated Andy Flitter and Bruce Revie 25-24.

Womens
Bettina Winkler and Eileen Reece defeated Margaret Dawson and Maureen Bottomley 25-12.
Yvonne Pattinson and Sandra French defeated Lynne Hateley-James and Nancy Duffield 26-14.
Barefoot Bowls is held on Fridays at 2.30pm and anyone who wants to play is invited to come and try and Nancy will guide them along on what they can do to have a fun afternoon of bowling.
All bowls and equipment supplied.
New competition on Saturdays is the Cooroy Community Bowls against RonsSportsman Challenge.
Names in as soon as possible.

TEWANTIN NOOSA BOWLS CLUB
After two weeks of ‘showcasing’ the club with state championships, things are getting back to normal, well as normal as they could be given the influx of new members who the club is very pleased to welcome.
Tuesday Women’s ‘Club selected’ 2 Bowl Triples
Winners: Julie Boyer, Beth Tolley, Daphne Reed.
Runners Up: Beryl Nelson, Malley Jane and Pat Digby.
Wednesday’s Men’s Pairs
Winners: Gary Hughes and Daryl Birt (2+31).
Runners up: Chris Wenke and Con O’Rourke (1+12).
The jackpot of $462 was won by Teams Sanday and Rieck.
Congratulations to Women’s A Grade Champion Jenny Lonie in defeating Pam Styles 25-17 with most of the ends by the narrowest of margins.
Thursday Open Pairs
Winners: Yvonne Ambrey and Raphe Rickman.
Runners up: Evelyn and Kevin Coghlan who were also the Jackpot winners.
‘Friendly’ Friday Triples
Winners: Jean Saunderson, Bev Dickinson, Eric Bolesworth.
Runners up: Dennis Burgess, Claire Anderson, Richard Sinclair.
Jackpot was won by Teams Grott and Boaker.
The Pennant season is nearly here and coaching is available with Rick Dickson from Monday 6 June.
A Men’s Section Special General Meeting has been called for 9am on Sunday 31 May due to an overwhelming response to nominations which will close on Saturday the 30 May.
This is an important meeting and members are encouraged to attend.
