Baton change at Rotary clubs

EACH year at the end of June local Rotary clubs hold a Changeover dinner to celebrate and thank their previous president and welcome in a new president to lead the organisation through another year.
This year, Rotary Noosa Daybreak thanked Jeff Williams for his year of service and welcomed on board new president Jenny Whitehead who will now lead the group through their coming fund-raising activities including the annual Rotary Book Fest.
The Rotary Club of Noosa Heads was set to hold their dinner on 29 June, to thank outgoing president Chris Shoobert and welcome in Jim Bennett as the new leader for the 2016/’17 financial year.
The Rotary Club of Noosa held their 48th annual Changeover dinner on Monday 27 June and welcomed in former 2012 and 2013 president Tess Alexandroff, who is back to serve as president for another year.
“I’m a born leader,” she said. “I love the club and I love the challenge.”
Ms Alexandroff takes over from the 2015/’16 president, John Butterworth, who was on hand to donate an annual cheque worth $6500 to the Coast Guard service.
