Joel steps up to help mates

NOOSA EAGLES SOCCER
THE Noosa Eagles Soccer Club were ready for another home game after a wash out last week, the wind was cool, the air was fresh but the sun was shining as all the boys and girls played their little hearts out for the first weekend of the school holidays.
Under 8 Gold were lucky enough to play against some of their fellow Under 8 Red and White club mates in a friendly game, after Golds’ opposition – the Currimundi Urchins – forfeited the match.
Joel Fitzgerald got player of the match for being the player to volunteer to join the Red/White team to play against his Gold teammates and was the highest scoring player of the match with four goals. Thanks to the Red and White teams for volunteering to help out.
Under 9 Black defeated Chancellor Colts 7-0 with a strong win with all Noosa Eagles players contributing to the win. Beau Liddell received player of the match for a great effort and James Allan won the coaches award for showing great sportsmanship by filling in for the other team for the first half due to lack of players. Goals: Alaska Rosenkranz (4), Nathan Hindmarsh (2), Jake Macdonald (1).
Under 11 Gold played against Caloundra Black at Good Shepherd Lutheran College. Noosa had a fantastic game, winning 5-2. Goals: Jai Stuart (2), Hunter Baistow (1), Oscar Morgan (1) and Jude Youens (1). Player of the week was Samuel Miller.
