Pirates scrub up well

By JOLENE OGLE

THE Under 12 Noosa Pirates team got to work on Tuesday washing cars for local tradies to raise funds for the Pirate’s club.
U12’s coach Jeremy Orchard said the boys were very enthusiastic when it came to washing the cars.
“They did a great job,” he said.
“It was nice of Bunnings to offer (the opportunity) to us.”
The car wash was part of the Bunnings Noosaville Trade Expo on Tuesday 21 June at which more than 25 trade suppliers promoted their products while kids took advantage of the jumping castle, face painting and DIY activity station.
The U12 junior team washed over 10 cars to earn $150 worth of gift cards for their club that will be used to support the team’s trip to Gladstone to take part in the Jason Hetherington Cup clash from 8 July to 10 July.
It is one of the state’s biggest cup challenges and Jason said the team was looking forward to taking part.
