Stalked in fine style

THE Sunshine Coast Best Dressed List for 2016 has been announced, with Noosa’s Carlie Wacker earning a spot on the prestigious list.
Carlie was chosen from 22 hopeful fashionistas nominated by the public and has been style-stalked by secret spies to make sure the entrants are stylish on the school run, when popping to the shop and even when picking up their copy of Noosa Today from the driveway.
The Sunshine Coast Style Awards were started in 2008 with the top 10 list of best dressed locals only added to the format a few years ago.
Founder Jacinta Richmond said there were five different Style Stalkers each year sent out to spy on the nominated style gurus.
“No-one knows who the Style Stalkers are and they don’t know who each other are,” she said.
“It is their job to spend two months stalking all of the nominees, at work, on the school run, walking the dog, at the supermarket, sometimes even at private family functions – you never know who a Style stalker is and I will never tell.”
Carlie joins Travis Schultz of Buderim, Caley Ashpole of Maroochydore, Maree McGrath Cotton Tree, Tamara Wrigley Sippy Downs, Natalie Tink of Kawana Island, Sallyanne Holland and Jaclyn Fellows of Alexandra Headlands, Tanya Young of Mooloolaba, and last year’s winner Bronte Bateup of Buderim).
The Best Dressed list members have been invited to sit front row at the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival on Saturday 22 October at the Caloundra Events Centre, where the most stylish local resident will be announced.
