Witness the final Fords

THE Noosa Beach Classic Car Show is back for another year this Sunday 2 October at the Noosa Heads Lions Park.
This year the show will celebrate the last year of Ford manufacturing in Australia with a Ford marque.
Noosa Car Club president Malcolm King said although it’s sad to see the end of Ford production in the country, the company still produces fine vehicles such as the Mustang that are as popular as ever.
“I have had a long history working with Ford Australia as an engineer during the ’70s with the GT Falcons,” he said. “It was an exciting time.”
The car show will include the variety of classic cars it has become renowned for and the Fords well represented by Falcon, Cortina, Escort, Fairlane, Cobra, Victoria, Ltd, Mainline, Thunderbird and many more models.
“I’m encouraged by the increasing number of visitors and entrants. Last year’s show, our biggest yet, hosted 3,500 visitors and we’re hoping for similar result this year with good weather, good people, classic cars and one of the best locations in the world. What more could you wish for,” Mr King said.
The Noosa Beach Classic Car Show will be held at Lions Park Noosa Heads on Sunday 2 October from 8.30am. Adults are $10 and children are free. A shuttle bus will be available from the Noosa Junction bus terminal car park.
