It was a patriotic Noosa that filled the streets and Noosa Main Beach on Monday afternoon as the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay travelled through the region.
Residents and tourists lined the baton route waving flags and cheering as the baton bearers and cavalcade went past.
There was a heavy police presence but their friendly manner added to the celebratory atmosphere.
When the baton reached Noosa Main Beach baton bearers Emma Snowsill and Jordan Mercer were joined by well wishes running alongside.
The baton will now be heading toward the Gold Coast for the opening of the Commonwealth Games next Wednesday 4 April.
