The St Andrew’s Anglican College school oval is usually full of kids, but this Saturday (3 September) there will be pooches galore for the annual Poochies at Peregian event.
Families and their furry friends are all welcome to attend the event, designed to offer dogs a great chance to socialise and exercise while supporting local charity Smart Pups, who train support dogs.
Activities on the day include advice and tips on training from local trainer Stephen Dawson, dog washing from Aussie Pooch Mobile, plus free dental checks and advice from vet Dr Alice O’Hare.
There will also be fun activities including a best-dressed competition, awards for the best stayer and musical dogs as well as the all-important Espresso coffee van in attendance.
There will be raffles and food available with all proceeds going specifically towards funding a Smart Pup for Marcus from Nambour Special School.
Entry to the event is $5 per dog and $5 per human without a dog.
The Poochies at Peregian family fun day will take place on the St Andrew’s Anglican College front oval on Saturday 3 September from 8-10.30am.
