THE Floating Land Festival will kick into full swing this long weekend with a program bursting with live entertainment and family fun throughout Boreen Point.
An Artist Studio Walk will be held on Friday 2 October, from 2pm, offering locals and visitors the chance to see where some of the region’s best art works are created.
On Friday night, the Apollonian Hotel will hold twilight markets, from 4pm-8pm, followed by the Muso Jam Night, from 8pm-10pm, while pop-up stores and roaming entertainment will bring the foreshore to life throughout the weekend.
The Heart of Gold Film Festival, to be held in Gympie from 8-11 October, will also help celebrate the Floating Land Festival with free viewings of fantastic films.
A family-friendly movie will be shown on Saturday 3 October at the Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club, from 6.30pm, an Aboriginal cultural movie will be shown at the Shipwreck outdoor screen on Sunday 4 October, from 7pm, and an adult screening will be held in the lounge area of the Apollonian Hotel on Monday 5 October, from 8pm.
