Desert-dueller made in a day

The addition of extra fuel means this bike will keep on going when others can't.

THROUGHOUT the month of October, Royal Enfield Australia and New Zealand held a bike build-off competition for all Royal Enfield dealerships across Australia and New Zealand to take part in.
Scott Macken at Scooter Style / Noosa Motorcycles in Noosa said he thought it would be a great opportunity to think outside the square.
The team decided to really challenge themselves and attempt to complete their custom bike build in just one day.
On 31 October, Scott gathered his Scooter Style team Ben and Chris, together with some guest assistants in Doug, Kratzy, Mal and Brian and began their incredible bike transformation.
They created a plan to transform a Royal Enfield Classic 500 in Battle Green into a desert-crossing, do-anything bike that would just keep going and going.
Adding some super lighting for the darkest desert nights and a can of spare fuel ensured the bike would be able to do just that.
With chunky monkey Pirelli Scorpion MX tyres, and a comfy seat, the bike would be comfortable enough to ride for long periods.
The bike scored Zodiac fenders, Emgo Grips, Emgo Enduro Bars, and Royal Enfield crashbars and then to really complete the look they wanted, a custom Royal Enfield exhaust and a full black-out engine was added.
The inspiration for this bike was taken from the song “Rock the Casbah”, the original army green colour of the bike and Scott’s upcoming trip to Nepal next year.
Drop in to Scooter Style / Noosa Motorcycles, 16 Rene Street, Noosaville, and you can check this unique bike out in person.
