Try your hand at table tennis

By Bruce Blakemore

The 2017 table tennis season is set to kick off soon with a free try-out day to be held on Wednesday 8 February.
All interested competition players should come along to the try-out night that starts at 7pm and check out the facilities and take the opportunity to join the friendly group.
All players are graded and receive a handicap to allow an equal chance against the better opponents.
Competition seasons run on average 8-10 weeks, usually under a team format, with trophies awarded to winning teams and best performing individuals.
The club is now based at the Noosa Leisure Centre at Wallace Park next to the library.
Competition is on Wednesday nights from 7pm and social/senior play is held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10-noon.
Call 5474 5526 for any further information or check out the club on Facebook.
