Noosa wows Today Show team

By MEGAN OGLE

NOOSA Main Beach was crowded on Monday morning 30 May as residents and tourists flocked to the beach to get up close and personal with visiting celebrities.
Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson, Sylvia Jeffreys, Tim Gilbert and Richard Wilkins from popular morning program the Today Show braved the winter morning as they broadcast live from Noosa Main Beach on their first stop in the We Love Australia tour.
The Today Show team were smitten with Noosa as the locals turned out to show them just what they’re made of with Graham and his “pig” Bacon drawing stares from Karl and Lisa as they paddled past the set and Rosslyn Warman invited on stage when she turned up in her “bikini”.
“We’re in Noosa where the weather is warm and the people are hot,” Richard said.
Tourism Noosa hosted the Today Show as the crew enjoyed shopping along Hastings Street, learning to paddle with Noosa Stand Up Paddle and Sylvia even enjoyed a tour of Makepeace Island with Richard Branson himself.
The Today Show team were joined on stage by The Voice favourites The Koi Boys who invited Karl and Lisa to sing along with them ahead of The Battles which were to take place on Monday night 30 May.
Among the fans of the show were local legends Jordan Mercer, Darren Mercer and Matt Golinski.
