For more than 25 years the Zonta Club of Noosa has been working to raise awareness of women’s rights and to put an end to violence against women and children.
As part of their Mothers’ Day Campaign this year, Bunnings Noosaville and Maroochydore contacted the Zonta Club of Noosa to find out what was on the wish list of SHINE Houses which provide crisis accommodation for women and children escaping domestic violence. They needed three large wall mounted clothes lines and a shed to store belongings so Bunnings came to the party and donated the three clothes lines and $150 in vouchers towards the shed.
Recently the handover took place at the Noosa Bunnings store. Zonta Club of Noosa president Jan Comins was on hand when Siobhan (Noosaville store) and Sue (Maroochydore store) presented the clothes lines and vouchers to Diane Quinlan from the Salvation Army for the SHINE houses.
