Big idea to help other mumpreneurs

SHE is an interior designer, mother-of-two, soon to be three, and founder of Noosa’s first child-friendly networking group and Aimee Sheriff can now add award-winner to her impressive list of accomplishments.
Aimee had a big idea to open Noosa’s first child-friendly, co-working space for working parents and her innovation plan has won her the award for Big Idea at the annual Mumpreneurs’ award ceremony in Melbourne.
Aimee said she is honoured to have her idea recognised by the Ausmumpreneur community.
“It validates to me the need for this venture,” she said.
“I was up against some amazing ideas that had even progressed further however still managed to win.
“I’m extremely proud and could not have gathered this much momentum with an amazing community of work-from-home mothers behind me.”
Mumpreneurs is a community for mums who are creating freedom, flexibility, family-time, success and money for themselves and their families.
Aimee said winning the award has helped her to keep up momentum to create her dream of a child-friendly co-working space.
“For me, the award signifies that if you have an idea and you believe the value in it as others around you do, to keep forging ahead through the hurdles and come out the other side,” she said.
“We still have a way to go but knowing that it’s not just me that thinks this is a great idea is definitely a confidence booster.”
After her win, Aimee said she has received overwhelming support from the local community.
“I’ve had so much support from the local community as well as the Ausmumpreneur community nationwide also reaching out and congratulating me,” she said.
“It’s put the venture on the map. What’s next for the Powerhouse Co-op? A space! Time to find our haven and crack our empires into action.”
Anyone interested in joining The Powerhouse Co-op can find the group on Facebook.
