KNOWN as one of Noosa’s living treasures, Emma Freeman has been a local since she moved to Hastings Street in the 1950s.
Emma quickly became active in her community and can add conservationist, artist, author and playwright, to her list of many accomplishments.
Her book, ‘Hastings Street – Stories from Noosa’s Past’, is part autobiographical and part historical but all entertaining and promises to have readers laughing out loud about Noosa’s eccentrics, artists, poets and go-getters.
Daughters Michelle and Elissa Freeman said readers would be amazed at their mum’s energy and dedication to her painting, sculpture, playwriting and the saving of Noosa’s trees.
The book launch will be held at the Noosa Library, 7 Wallace Drive, Noosaville, on Saturday 3 September at 3.30pm. Anyone interested in attending is asked to phone the library on 5329 6555 to RSVP.
