Their art is a gift

ARTISANS Wendy Britton and Gail Grossman have teamed up to present their works in a joint exhibition titled From the Studios that will be displayed at the Pomona Railway Station Gallery from 10 September.
Wendy is a well-known local artists who made the transition from resort cleaner to full-time ceramicist after starting to work with ceramics as a hobby in 2003.
Wendy completed her Diploma in Fine Arts/Ceramics in 2009 and, since taking her first steps with market stalls, Wendy now supplies her giftware range to stores in Noosa and interstate.
Business is booming for Wendy, who has since branched out into providing tableware for several local restaurants and cafes as well as creating one-of-a-kind sculpture forms for both home and garden.
Wendy has joined with Gail, a fellow ceramicist who started her journey in western Queensland where she was a primary school teacher.
Gail now works part-time in her family business but looks forward to spending more time on her art, which has been influenced by a trip to Africa.
The exhibition From the Studio will open on Saturday 10 September at 11am and will run until Wednesday 12 October at the Pomona Railway Station Gallery, Pomona.
For more information on the exhibition phone Wendy on 5474 0104 or email wendybrittonceramics@gmail.com
