Hole lot of fund-raising fun

MORE than $1600 was raised for breast cancer research at the Cooroy Golf Club Tee-Off for Breast Cancer day last Thursday.
The group of women golfers brought out the big swings to help raise funds for breast cancer research and support services.
To add even more fun to the day, golfers were able to buy “escape” tickets, which could be used instead of putting or to get out of trouble without penalty.
A raffle was also run with the support of Cooroy veterans and a charity night with the help of Noosa River and Canal Cruises helped raise $1669.
Thirty-two golfers helped raise the funds, with the winners Shay Zulpo, Carmel Clark and Assunta Easton all taking home a cruise voucher from Noosa River and Canal Cruises.
Maria Taurer was also a winner, hitting a hole-in-one on the sixth hole.
