Noosa Masters Swimming Club members remain reigning champions of the National Endurance 1000 Program, for the fifth year in a row.
Endurance swimming is an integral part of Masters swimming training. Various timed swims in all strokes over different distances earn points, the tally of which is compared to clubs across the country. Participants live the Masters creed of Fitness, Friendship and Fun while they compete.
The club boasts top national swimmers in every age group from 36 year-old Wear Armstrong to their “living fossil”, Bob Mc Causland, at 89yrs.
Sixteen of the club members swam over 3kms in an hour last year…something to be very proud of.
