Coffee, cake and charity

FRIENDS gathered last week to enjoy coffee and cake while raising much-needed funds for a local charity.
The Queensland Cancer Council Noosa Branch volunteers held The Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday 26 May and more than 120 Noosa residents turned out to support the worthwhile cause.
Morning tea co-ordinator Annie Evans said more than $3000 was raised on the day through raffles and entry fees.
“I would like to thank the businesses who donated all the lovely prizes. There was a great range. Also to the Boathouse for donating their beautiful venue,” Ms Evans said.
“The day would not have come together without all the volunteers who helped put it together with their baking, making sandwiches, serving tea and coffee, selling tickets and decorating the room for the day. Their support is invaluable.”
