A better way for business, naturally

NOOSA Boathouse has joined the ranks of a unique worldwide group of sustainable tourism operators that are verified to the EarthCheck Assessed Program, with the exclusive EarthCheck science inside.
EarthCheck relationship manager Greta Korthaus congratulated Danielle and the rest of the team at Noosa Boathouse on their commitment to address sustainability principles in their business.
“By participating in the EarthCheck Assessed Program they have recognised the need to benchmark their performance and to make year-on-year improvements,” she said.
“This positions Noosa Boathouse as being a member of a unique group of sustainable tourism operators that are verified through the EarthCheck Assessed Program.”
Established in 1997, EarthCheck aims to help businesses, communities and governments enhance the environmental, economic and social sustainability of their tourism initiatives.
Noosa Boathouse co-owner Danielle McPharlin says the verification process meant they now have a valuable management and reporting tool for use in advancing both environmental and business performance.
The EarthCheck verification is just another sustainable initiative Noosa Boathouse has implemented, together with their recent achievement in reducing their food waste going to landfill by over 10 tonnes annually by diverting it to a local resident in Doonan for composting.
