Noosa Councillor Ingrid Jackson with Slow Food member Anne Marshall.

NOOSA Slow Food welcomed Coolum State High School teacher Ben Mooney to its monthly meeting to present a $5000 donation to the school.
The meeting was held at Peppers Noosa Resort and Villas on Thursday 25 August and Mr Mooney made the trip to accept the donation that will help develop a greenhouse into a multi-function, interactive learning environment with the addition of an aquaponics facility.
Industrial technology and design teacher Mr Mooney has been working with the Head of Science Paul Olsen to research and develop a plan to source and erect a fully integrated greenhouse to help expose students to greater hands-on opportunities and real life learning within the fields of science and permaculture.
