Fun and games in Lipstick Dreams

Noosa Art Theatre’s next production is Lipstick Dreams written by Simon Hopkinson and Helen O’Connor, and is a light-hearted look at the lives of four very different people, each with their own dreams and disappointments.
The play is set in the Blue Heaven ladies hairdressing salon in a small country town.
Jo, the manager, is advised by the bank that the salon is no longer a viable concern.
Since ‘Brett and the boys’ opened a salon across the road, Jo and her employees haven’t been taking enough to cover the tea bill let alone the interest repayments to the bank.
So, with the help of her employees, Jo enters a talent quest at the local Chinese restaurant in the hope that if they win, the publicity would start bringing the customers back.
Lipstick Dreams is a must-see play full of laughter, tears and fun, with toe tapping songs from the Swinging ’60s that will leave you dancing in the aisles.
Crafted into the unmissable hit of the silly season, director Sue Clapham and her cast will leave you wanting more.
