Organic Winter Smoothie

THE cold weather is finally on its way out, according to the weather bureau which predicts warm sunny days ahead for Noosa. To help kick start your springtime preparation, Pernilla Tomkins from Vanilla Food shares her Organic Winter Smoothie recipe. It’s easy to make and is a healthy and nutritious drink that the whole family will love. All ingredients can be bought at Bioshop Noosa in Belmondos.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons cashews, soaked in water overnight, drained and rinsed
2 medjool dates
1 cup almond milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
1/4 teaspoon ginger, ground
1/4 teaspoon cardamom, ground
2 bananas, frozen
Method:
It doesn’t get much easier than this. Simply blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into a jar and top with cacao nibs and more cinnamon. Delicious!
