WINTER weather is approaching and as the days and nights get cooler, there is no better place to be than by the fire. And that fire happens to also offer delicious and impressive cuisine with river views.
Wood Fire Grill is a warm and inviting restaurant in Quamby Place on Noosa River. Inside, the walls are adorned with rich-coloured timber, and the open kitchen offers a view of the dramatic cooking style perfected by head chef Jeremiah Jones and his team.
Cooking over an open fire may sound like a meat-lover’s dream, but the menu offers dishes to entice anyone, whether vegetarian, gluten-free, or dining with the family.
Inspired by community and created to encourage interaction and exploration of food, Wood Fire Grill’s menu is all about sharing and includes everything from seafood to succulent wagyu rump.
Main dishes to experience include the Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder, Coal Grilled Ora King Salmon and the Mooloolaba Prawns, Squid Ink Linguini, with Cherry Tomatoes, Garlic and Chilli.
Some of the more unique dishes include Beef Tongue on Toast with Chimichurri and Onion Jam, as well as the Smoked Hervey Bay Scallops with Potato and Corn Stuffed Piquillo Peppers.
Sundays are ideal for families with a $60 delicious meaty share plate and two side dishes – which is plenty of food for three to four people. The park next door is perfect for the kids to play, and Wood Fire Grill also provides free entertainment for the kids so mum and dad can sit back and relax.
