IT IS certainly not your everyday lucky door prize, but Drysdale Funerals are excited to give away a pre-paid funeral at their open day on Wednesday 9 July.
Drysdale Funerals location manager Christine Sterlson said the unique give-away was valued at $4000 and included everything needed for a funeral including professional fees, coffin and cremation.
“The pre-paid Guardian plan is designed to offer peace of mind,” she said.
“The winner can choose to add to the package for an additional cost, it is really up to them.”
The give-away is part of Drysdale Funerals’ 25 year celebrations and open day, where the community are invited to tour the long-standing funeral home’s grounds.
“Not many people know that we are self-sufficient with an onsite morgue and crematorium,” Ms Sterlson said.
The open day will also mark the official opening of Drysdale Funerals new function and community hall, with Councillor Bob Abbot expected to cut the ribbon.
The open day will also include community stalls and activities for children, plus morning tea provided by the Katie Rose Cottage.
Ms Sterlson said the open day was a chance for locals to see what Drysdale Funerals could offer as well as connect with other community organisations and groups.
“Everyone can meet our staff and have a look at the whole site,” she said.
“There will also be stalls and community groups. We are proud to show that this is what we do, we are community.”
