Get your fill of Christmas feast

By Hollie Harris

CHRISTMAS in Australia has always been about food, family, and fun and sometimes it’s a welcome reprieve from the summer heat to head indoors for a cool, catered luncheon with all the trimmings.
Tewantin Noosa RSL has got you covered on all counts this year with the famous Christmas Day Luncheon back again to make an extra special, easy and tasty treat for the whole family.
Beginning this extravagant buffet lunch is a decadent seafood chowder with bread rolls followed by
a delicious selection of Christmas essentials.
Seafood lovers will love choosing from an array of hot and cold seafood including fresh oysters natural, Moreton Bay bugs, Hervey Bay scallops mornay, lemon myrtle and chilli coconut salmon bites, or crumbed calamari to name just a few.
All your traditional Christmas favourites are included such as sliced smoked leg ham and roasted lamb, pork, and turkey with roast vegetables, potato and bacon salad, garden salad, and so much more.
The meal doesn’t end there. Keep room for the naughty buffet of deserts including Christmas pudding, assorted cakes and cheesecakes, mini-pavlovas, custards and chantilly cream.
A selection of beverages are also included meaning you will leave with the traditional Christmas belly fully satisfied.
So why not forget about cooking and the dreaded dishes in the heat of the day and treat yourself and your loved ones to a beautifully prepared luncheon fit for a Christmas King.
Bookings are essential as this event sells out every year. Tickets are $120 for members and $150 for non-members with special prices for children.
For the full menu visit the website on www.noosarsl.com.au. Call 5447 1766 to make a booking or visit reception at Tewantin Noosa RSL.
