Entrees will be served with your choice of a local spanner crab and celeriac remoulade with apple, walnut and gazpacho dressing or quail saltimbocca with sweet and sour peaches, radicchio and vincotto jus. Choose from a glass of Highgate chardonnay full of generous and round fruits, carried by elegant and restrained oak with a refreshing crispness to finish or a tropical sauvignon blanc with a palate of passionfruit and guava, finishing crisp, fresh and dry.
While you’re savouring the flavours of the menu and wine, the talented kitchen team will be preparing the mouth-watering Melbourne Cup mains meals.
Decide between a sticky glazed ‘Cape Grim’ beef short rib with soft goats cheese, polenta and braised cavolo nero or crispy skin barramundi with Israeli cous cous, blood orange, medjool dates, mint and Persian fetta. Suggested with our mains is the cabernet sauvignon; a soft, rich red berry fruit flavour with blackcurrant and layers of dark chocolate with a deep lingering finish.
