Let Nanna Loose On Saturday Night

By Hollie Harris

You don’t have to be an octogenarian to love the smooth tunes of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. The Don’t Lock Up Your Granny show specialises in bringing Nana’s favourites back on to stage and getting you to groove the night away.

Don’t Lock Up Your Granny is ready to rock with all your favourites loaded and ready to go. Songs from the likes of The Shadows, Bobby Vee, Danny and the Juniors, Ricky Nelson, Chuck Berry, Dion, The Shadows, Elvis and Roy Orbison are on the playlist. But don’t be fooled – these are not boring musicians, the show has spectacular costume changes with fabulous lighting and encapsulates what was big in the days when poodle skirts and bodgies and widgies roamed the clubs. This is a show full of nostalgia and every generation will find a favourite in the line-up.

Don’t Lock Up Your Granny Show is produced by Atmosphere Band which is made up of four highly talented musicians who love what they do, with equally impressive footprints in the music industry. Lead singer Suzi G, Paul Doherty on Drums, Paul Heinemann on Bass and Mike Andrew on lead guistar reproduce timeless hits providing a performance that has the distinctly rock n roll swing.

This music extravaganza will have you dancing like there’s no tomorrow with more hits than you can poke a walking stick at! Songs like Copperhead Road, Poison Ivy and Run Around Sue and don’t forget to put in your request to hear your favourite anthem.

Don’t Lock Up Your Granny will be rocking the Tewantin Noosa RSL on Saturday 26 May at 8pm.
