Drawing the line

Bring your eyebrows into 2015 with perfectly shaped, coloured and designed brows.

IN her column for Noosa ladies, Kim Susskind explains brows are back in 2015. Kim owns and operates Ebony Beauty Noosa, specialising in hair removal and beauty treatments.

FORGET the 10 minute eyebrow wax, stand back from the tweezers, and lose those awful comma-shaped brows and ‘Nike’ ticks.
Now is the time to seek a professional brow artist to measure, shape and design those brows into the year 2015.
Call me old fashioned – somebody did once, I told them ‘fiddlesticks’ – but to me, brow grooming is up there with smooth legs, good hair and styled nails. Everything else might be perfect, but it’s all for nought if the brows look like they’ve escaped from the top paddock.
Brows aren’t merely an adornment. They’re brilliant for adding emphasis to just about any facial expression; anger, surprise, laughter, you name it and brows do their mobile thing.
The choices for shaping and colouring are endless- threading, sugaring, waxing, tweezing, henna tint or regular tint, powder or no powder.
Who would have thought brows could be so important?
As I write this article I am road tripping for a much-needed break. If you were to open my cosmetic bag, safety packed away is my brow powder, brow brush, brow illuminator and brow gel.
If I was told I could only have one item on a deserted island it would be a paper bag if I could not have all my brow products, they are non-negotiable – a phrase my 14-year-old has recently learnt.
I believe no brows can’t be saved and shaped into their perfect look. As a Queensland trainer for Final Touch Brow design and threading, my top three rules for brows are:
* Eyebrows are meant to be sisters, not twins.
* You are meant to wear your brows, they are not meant to wear you.
* Put the tweezers down and stay out of my lines.
If you want to experience beautifully shaped brows that will become a feature of your face, book in with a brow expert now. You don’t know what you’re missing.
