Fireworks on the river for New Year

The Noosa River foreshore will come to life this New Year’s Eve for the family fireworks display at 9pm in front of Noosa Boathouse on Gympie Tce.

The annual 9pm fireworks display is presented by Noosa Boathouse and The Islander Noosa Resort in association with Noosaville Business Association, who have collectively joined forces with local businesses to put on the annual family event. 2020 sponsors include Noosa Ferry & Cruise Company, Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club, 250 Grammi, Paul Shaw Group, Harvey Norman Noosaville, Frenchies Brasserie, Canvas & Marine Covers Noosa, Coral Beach Resort, Noosa Entrance Waterfront Resort, Portside Noosa Waters.

Noosa Boathouse owner, Phil Bradford said the Noosa River had always been a popular spot for families to watch the sun set on the year that was. “The free family fireworks allows the littlest spectators the chance to enjoy a fantastic display without having to last until midnight,” he said. He encourages people to get down there early to find a good spot, whilst practising social distancing to ensure a safe event.
