Fine dining: Matt’s catering

HOW would you like celebrated chef Matt Golinski to cater a dinner party for you and nine friends in the comfort of your own home? This dreamy dining experience will become a reality for one lucky winner, thanks to the Lions in Place charity fund-raiser auction.
Lions in Place, a domestic violence service provider, are busy organising multiple fund-raisers for the coming months and have cooked up the best prize of all – an all-inclusive dining experience.
Matt Golinski, a major sponsor of the event, has put his money where his mouth is and will cater a dinner party for 10 people at the winner’s home with all food included plus six bottles of wine thrown in for good measure.
Lions in Place CEO Deb Blakeney said proceeds from the fund-raisers would go towards helping women and children who access the shelter.
“Funds will go directly to service delivery, such as school uniforms and school costs,” Ms Blakeney said.
“It will also help us to provide items for women and children when they leave the shelter and move into independent living such as white goods, beds, towels and so on.”
The fund-raising launches with a two-course lunch and informative talk at the Rump House, Noosa Marina, Tewantin, on Tuesday 15 March at noon. Ms Blakeney will speak on issues of power, control and the impact on communities.
Soon after, a sold-out soiree will be held on 30 April ahead of Domestic Violence Month in May. The Soiree at the Springs will treat guests to live music and canapes and the lucky winner of the five-star dining experience will be announced on the night.
You don’t need to attend the soiree to make a bid for the once-in- a-lifetime prize, simply make your bid now by calling or texting 0412 842 077 with your bid, email and contact number. Winner will be announced on 30 April.
Tickets are still available for The Rump House lunch which will take place on Tuesday 15 March from noon at the Noosa Marina. Tickets are $50 each and include a two-course meal, wine and presentation and can be purchased by calling Jody on 0412 842 077.
