Nippers put through their paces

By DONNA FREY

NOOSA Surf Lifesaving Club hosted a Nippers Carnival on the weekend for participants aged between 8 and 10 years old.
It was a beautiful sunny Noosa day, hosting clubs from all the way up and down the Sunshine Coast; a credit to Noosa Nippers Junior Committee who ran a flawless carnival thoroughly enjoyed by parents and competitors.
For some of our Noosa Nippers it was their first taste of the competitive side of Nippers and they all enjoyed themselves as the racing was team-based.
All age managers commented their group of Nippers had fun, excelled in the water, on the boards and in the beach sprints.
A massive thanks goes to all the Noosa Nippers volunteers who helped with beach set up and pack up, water safety, barbecue and age managers running very excited kids through their paces on Sunday.
