Whether you enjoy a chilled glass of milk with your chocolate Easter eggs, or lashings of butter on Hot Cross Buns, dairy is a classic companion at Easter time.
If the classic Hot Cross Bun is not for you, you’ll definitely be a fan of The Dairy Kitchen’s Hot Cross Truffles. These delectable Hot Cross Truffles roll cream cheese with decadent chocolate, dried fruit and spices summing up the flavour of Easter in one fudgy bite.
When it comes to the kids, The Dairy Kitchen’s Chocolate Caramel Easter Tarts are the perfect treat to get them busy in the kitchen. Chocolate and caramel is a favourite flavour combo with all ages, and the kids can help by spooning the caramel into the tarts and decorating them with chocolate eggs.Serve up a delicious flavoured butter with warm hot cross buns for a tasty treat.
Combine 125g softened butter with the following ingredient variations for delicious flavoured butters to serve with hot cross buns, muffins, pannetone or pancakes.
Maple Pecan Butter
· 1 tablespoon maple syrup
· 2 tablespoons finely chopped toasted pecan nuts
Orange, Lemon and Lime Butter:
· 1 tablespoon icing sugar
· 1/2 teaspoon of finely grated zest of an orange, lemon and lime
· 1 teaspoon lime juice
Rum and Raisin Butter:
· Soak 2 tablespoons chopped raisins in 1 tablespoon of rum until plump, drain
· Combine with butter and 2 teaspoons icing sugar
Honey Ginger Butter:
· 2 teaspoons honey
