IN WHAT is certainly the biggest signing for the Cooroy Fusion Festival for 2015, Cooroy’s own singer, songwriter and multi-talented instrumentalist, Isaac McGovern has announced he will grace the festival stage on Saturday, 9 May.
Shooting to stardom in last year’s hit television series, The Voice, Isaac will be the headline act at this year’s festival, performing with his three-piece band on stage in the entertainment tent proudly sponsored by the Cooroy Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank.
Isaac will also be conducting a song writing workshop in the Butter Factory Arts Centre as part of the festival. There is a good chance he will have a story or two to share about his experiences on The Voice and maybe even of his coach, Joel Madden.
You simply can’t get any more local than Isaac – a young man who is proud to still call the hinterland his home and is very much looking forward to performing in front of his hometown crowd. His performance will also be a way of thanking the many hundreds of locals who voted to keep him on The Voice during the last series. It will also be your chance to be entertained by one of Australia’s emerging talents.
